Soyuz Carrier Rocket Set To Blast Off With New Progress Space Truck To Space Station

 Moscow (RIA Novosti) May 14, 2008
 A Soyuz-U carrier rocket is due to blast off from Baikonur space center Thursday to deliver a Progress M-64 spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS), a Mission Control spokesman said on Tuesday.

The Russian carrier rocket is due to be launched from Baikonur in Kazakhstan at 0:23 a.m. Moscow time on May 15 (20:23 GMT May 14) and the Progress is scheduled to dock with the ISS on May 17 at 01:37 a.m. Moscow time (21:37 GMT May 16).

The freighter is currently undergoing final prelaunch procedures at the launch site.

The previous Progress M-63 spacecraft delivered 2.5 metric tons of cargo, including food, equipment and other supplies to the ISS in February.

New Water Reclamation System Headed For Duty On Space Station
 Huntsville AL (SPX) May 13, 2008
 International Space Station crews soon will have a new water reclamation system that will recycle wastewater, allowing up to six crew members to live aboard the orbiting laboratory. The latest addition to the station's life support system departs today from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., to NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., for final flight preparations.
