A Russian cargo spacecraft, Progress M-06M, lifted off toward the International Space Station at 19:35 Moscow time [15:35 GMT] on Wednesday, the Russian space agency Roscosmos said. It was launched from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan on a Soyuz-U booster rocket. It separated 10 minutes later and successfully entered the designated orbit. Russia considers purchasing an unfinished missile cruiser from Ukraine, Russian Navy Commander Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky said on Saturday. Construction of the Slava class Admiral Lobov cruiser was launched in 1984 at the Nikolayev shipyard in Ukraine but stalled in the late 1980s due to a sharp reduction in military expenditure.
