Blasts rang out over the Ukrainian capital on Friday, AFP journalists heard, after officials warned of a rare incoming daytime missile attack from Russia.
AFP reporters heard several loud explosions as Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to take shelter and said air defences were at work in the city.
