Clinton to Middle East, Europe March 1 to 7

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is to take her first trip as the United States' top diplomat to the Middle East and Europe from March 1 to 7, State Department spokesman Robert Wood said Thursday.

Clinton will travel to Egypt, Israel, the Palestinian territories, Belgium, Switzerland and Turkey to attend a donor's conference, meet with NATO foreign ministers and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Geneva, he said.
