Dassault Aviation said Tuesday that orders for its Falcon business jet tumbled last year, which the French aircraft maker said was due to the worsening situation in emerging markets.
The company said it received 25 net orders in 2015 for its family of business jets, compared to 90 in 2014.
"After a growth of the Falcon activity in 2014, the economic environment, especially in emerging countries, strongly impacted our prospects and customers," the company said in a statement.
Dassault Aviation shares were down 4.7 percent to 1,073.45 euros in afternoon trading in Paris.
However the company finally received export orders for the Rafale fighter jet it developed for the French air force, with contracts with Egypt and Qatar for 24 planes each finally entering into force.
Dassault Aviation said its backlog of orders for Falcon jets stood at 91 at the end of 2015, compared to 121 at the end of 2014. Meanwhile the backlog of Rafale orders climbed to 83 from 43.
The company plans to publish its annual results on February 26.
