A new multi-functional laser range finding device has been introduced by Safran Electronics & Defense and its Swiss company Safran Vectronix.

It's called the Clip On Laser Range Finding Device Illumination Pointing Communication device, or COLD IPC.

Safran said the Swiss-made system features a high-performance range finder, visible and invisible pointers, an invisible illuminator, an inclination sensor and a Bluetooth module for rapid transfer of data through standard communication interfaces.

Other features include a high quality custom-made display, remote control and a built-in rail adaptor.

The COLD IPC is about 4.72 inches long, 3.3 inches wide and 1.65 inches high and is built to military specifications.

Additional details on the COLD IPC were not disclosed.
