Russia has sent three satellites into space early Wednesday, said spokesman for Russian Space Forces Alexei Zolotukhin. A Rokot launch vehicle blasted off from the Plesetsk space center in northern Russia at 07:30 a.m. Moscow time (0330 GMT), with two military satellites of "Cosmos" series and the "Gonets-M" satellite atop. A Russian Rokot carrier rocket will take off from the Plesetsk space center in northern Russia on September 8 to put a Gonets-M satellite into orbit, a Defense Ministry spokesman said on Monday. Russia's Proton-M carrier rocket put three GLONASS satellites into orbit on Thursday, a spokesman for the Russian Space Forces said.
