Satellite manufacturer Thales Alenia Space signed a three-party agreement with two Russian space enterprises to supply electronic components for three communications satellites, the company said Wednesday. The space enterprises are the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) and Information Satellite Systems - Reshetnev Company (ISS - Reshetnev). A giant An-124 Ruslan cargo plane has landed at the Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan with a telecommunications satellite that will be launched for Sirius XM radio in mid-October, the Russian Space Agency said on Sunday. Russia has sent three satellites into space early Wednesday, said spokesman for Russian Space Forces Alexei Zolotukhin. A Rokot launch vehicle blasted off from the Plesetsk space center in northern Russia at 07:30 a.m. Moscow time (0330 GMT), with two military satellites of "Cosmos" series and the "Gonets-M" satellite atop.
